She used this range to develop the scat singing style made popular by Louis Armstrong.
Because Ella was such a versatile singer, jazz instrumentalists everywhere wanted to work with her. In 1938, Ella released a tisktet- a- tasket: This was a jazz version of nursery rhyme.
It became so popular that it sold one million copies, a fantastic achievement at that time.
