Dizzy is the band joker. Only Dizzy can play decks and the horn at the same time!

Some think Dizzy Gillespie was the greatest ever jazz trumpeter.

Always on the lookout for new sounds, Dizzy introduced Afro-Cuban music into American jazz.

Together with Bird (Charlie Parker), he developed a new and exciting style of jazz called be-bop.

But Dizzy was also a great comic who just couldn't help clowning around. Once, he even campaigned to become President of the United States!
